5K Run / Walk
The Oak Leaf Festival 5K Run/Walk & Kids Events are being held on September 3, 2007 in Oak
Hill, WV. The race will start in front of Active Fitness Center and run through the City of Oak Hill,
concluding across from Active Fitness Center at the track & Boy Scout Cabin where the kids' races
and climbing wall will be held.
Monday, September 4
Registration: 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. in the Active Fitness Center Parking Lot
Pre-registration Fee $12 -- Entry day fee $15 (Checks payable to Active Fitness Center
T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered participants
5K Run/Walk 9:00 a.m. - Awards ceremony to follow conclusion of race
5-K Awards & Prizes
Awards for top three finishers in each age group – male and female. Cash prizes to top three
overall male and female. Awards will also be given to the top three overall male and female
walkers. Age groups are:
15 & under 30 – 39 60 and over
16 - 19 40 – 49
20 – 29 50 – 59
Free Kids Events 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The kids’ events are free, but registration is necessary. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 80
registrants.
Ages 3 and under 50 Meters 6 & 7 years old 200 meters
4 & 5 years old 100 meters 8 to 10 years old 400 meters

Committee, the City of Oak Hill, A Place to Grow, Dr. Robert J. Skoretz, King Coal Chevrolet, humble
opinions, Proactive Health Strategies and all other agencies and individuals of this event from any
claim for injury, damages and/or death which may occur or be sustained from my participation (or
my child’s/ward’s participation) in this race. I certify to the above named sponsors and individuals
that I (or my child or ward) understanding that running is a demanding activity with many inherent
dangers and that I (or my child or ward) am in proper condition to participate in this run. I further
understand that health care coverage for any damages incurred as a result of my participation (or
my child or ward’s) in this run shall be my own responsibility, and not the responsibility of the
above said sponsors, agencies and/or individuals.
